Getting around

Highly walkable in the Beltline, downtown, Kensington, Mission and Inglewood, where daily needs and transit are within a short walk. Outer communities are car-oriented, with shopping clustered along main roads.

The vibe

Outdoorsy and unpretentious, with a real downtown core and easy weekend access to the mountains. Chinook winds break up the winter, and the city empties toward Kananaskis most summer weekends.
